We began our holiday eating last night - and oh how good it was. So good, in fact, that I may not eat again until Thursday. Precious son's girlfriend and her family hosted their family Thanksgiving meal last night and invited us - so nice. We really enjoyed it!
Tradition has always stipulated that I not begin to prepare for Christmas until after the Thanksgiving celebration. This has become more and more difficult as working at the church neccesitates that I prepare for Christmas very early. We're working on Chrismas musicals, planning Advent, painting gifts for parents, etc. I can't honestly say that I feel guilty about this...I love the Christmas time of the year and alllllll that goes along with it. Who was it that said I have to wait? I'll be thankful this week that we can look forward to the upcoming month.
Dear son has been home briefly and headed out again for the mountains. He left last night around 9:00pm for a 5 hour trip - I was not at peace with this. Actually I was very nervous and texted him every two hours until 2:30 when he arrived at his destination. Thank you Jesus.
Time to get this day going...school plans for two sleepy heads...little footsteps above my head tell me that they are up for the day.
